ACRO has been inactive in the past few years for a number of reasons. A newsletter printout though still has its place for some readers but it is no longer a viable option for ACRO. Earlier this year we began to explore ways of reviving ACRO electronically. It is very exciting that we are able to offer the site at this stage.
For this website we try to bring ceramic research information to readers and to creat a venue for ceramic enthusiasts and researchers for discussion.
To start, we will focus on bringing out three sets of information in this website.
1. The conference papers that were read at the Centre of Asian Studies of the University of Hong Kong , the Field Museum, Chicago, and the Asian Civilisations Museum, Singapore.
1986 conference in HK
Ancient Ceramic Industries of Fujian and Guangdong Provinces
1992 conference in HK
New Light on Chinese Yue and Longquan Wares, Archaeological
Ceramics Found in Eastern and Southern Asia, A.D. 800-1400
1994 conference in Chicago

Asian Ceramics: Potters, Users, and Collectiors
1998 conference in Singapore

Fujian Ceramics and their Trade in Southeast Asia
1998 conference in Chicago

Asian Ceramics: Resolving the Enigmas of the 15th Century
2. Archaeological data that was assembled from the Minnan ceramic research fieldwork carried out between 1994 and 1997.
3. ACRO Update newsletters 1993 - 2001.
